I've been doing a bit of Iris Folding lately as I'm running a card making class for a friend of mine (and her crafty buddies) next weekend. One of the cards I'm teaching is iris folding. At this stage this will be the card we make as its one of the easiest designs with all straight cutting lines. It's also versatile and can be used as an easter card - just replace the flowers with punched out oval circles for easter eggs.

If you look at past posts you will see I really love the technique 'Iris Folding'. From time to time I give it a break but when I do come back to it (and I always do) I remember why I enjoy it. You can make your main image as busy or simple as you like, and each one turns out so unique.

This technique is called 'Iris Folding' and is what originally got me into card making. It's very easy but looks incredibly difficult, is extremely cost effective and a great way of using all those little bits of paper that normally hit the bin.
